The National Center of Meteorology issued a yellow and orange weather alert for parts of the UAE on Friday amid dusty conditions.
Authorities issued safety instructions for residents and motorists today as dusty weather reduced visibility in parts of the country.
NCM issued a statement: Fresh to strong winds with speed of 45 kmph, causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility to less than 2000m at times over some coastal and internal areas from 9:45 am until 7:00 pm on February 7.
Abu Dhabi Police cautioned drivers amid low visibility during high winds and dust, urging them to not be distracted by taking videos or using the phone - for their saftey and for the safety of others on the road.
