A TRENDS Research & Advisory delegation, led by the centre's CEO, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, explored ways to enhance cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) to support and empower people of determination to achieve their full potential.
During the visit to the Innovation Centre for Products of People of Determination in Al Bahia, the TRENDS delegation was briefed on the organization's key initiatives and projects.
The delegation learned about ZHO’s pioneering experience in the care and rehabilitation of various categories of people of determination.
The delegation was provided with a detailed overview of the diverse services and contributions offered by the organisation, aimed at empowering and integrating people of determination into society.
The two sides discussed mechanisms for developing specialised studies and research to improve the quality of life for people of determination.
They also explored future initiatives based on scientific and knowledge-driven innovation as a primary means to achieve sustainable development goals.
An agreement has been reached on the "The Document" podcast series project, which forms part of the second phase of the Hemam Mawhouba (Talented People of Determination) initiative for 2025.
The project will feature 25 short episodes over three months, highlighting key moments in UAE history, its notable figures, and cultural landmarks.
The goal is to document these elements and inspire future generations, ensuring the continuity of the nation’s rich heritage.
After the discussions, Dr. Al-Ali honoured H.E. Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, by awarding him the TRENDS Research Medal for his significant efforts in supporting research and developing initiatives that promote the inclusion of people of determination in society.
Dr. Al-Ali emphasised TRENDS’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with local, regional, and international institutions.
He praised the collaboration with ZHO as a model for integrating scientific research with community service.
H.E. Al-Humaidan expressed his pride in receiving the award and highlighted the importance of collaboration with research institutions to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for the organisation’s beneficiaries.
“We believe that scientific research is a vital tool for improving the lives of people of determination. Through this partnership, we aim to conduct in-depth studies that achieve a tangible positive impact at both the local and international levels,” he said.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and joint efforts to launch innovative projects that serve the community.
They agreed on leveraging research to achieve sustainable development and empower people of determination through research and developmental initiatives.
