The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Global Security Services Group to oversee operations in the rehabilitation and correctional centres sector.
The agreement aims to support inmates’ rights while facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
This initiative, the first of its kind in the Middle East, allows private sector organisations to manage operations in correctional and rehabilitation facilities.
It seeks to strengthen public-private partnerships by leveraging creative solutions, processes, and global best practices to enhance operational efficiency and foster an optimal environment for the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates.
ADJD Undersecretary, Counsellor Yousef Al-Abri, highlighted that this MoU aligns with the Judicial Department's ongoing efforts to modernise and improve services, enhancing Abu Dhabi's global competitiveness.
Al-Abri highlighted that the department is committed to continuous development in this sector, implementing systems and programmes that ensure the safety and security of inmates and specialised staff while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
