Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, emphasised that the UAE will remain the model and example in the care and empowerment of people of determination globally, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He confirmed that the UAE makes every effort to enhance the capabilities of people of determination and expand their opportunities for integration across all sectors of society.

He noted that the high and distinguished level the UAE has attained in the care and rehabilitation of people of determination follows the best standards for providing comprehensive and integrated care, ensuring their inclusion in society.

This approach has become a global model from which others can benefit.

He added that the UAE has reached a high and distinguished level in the care and rehabilitation of people of determination.

This was shared during the receipt of the Re-accreditation certificate for Future Rehabilitation Centre from the CLM Center for Excellence.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Future Rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, briefed Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak on the centre’s operational methods, which align with the best global practices and the services offered to students in a distinguished educational environment.

Al Fahim explained how the centre implements specialised global programmes that contribute to developing the skills and independence of people of determination, including the “Competent Learner Model” programme, which received the re-accreditation certificate from the Tucci Learning Solutions Institute in California, USA.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak expressed his great happiness with the outstanding level achieved by the Future Rehabilitation Centre in Abu Dhabi, both in rehabilitation and empowerment.

Furthermore, he praised the efforts of all the centre’s staff and wished them success in all their work and dedication in rehabilitating people of determination.

He confirmed that the certificate the centre received is solid proof of its excellence, competence, and the quality of its programmes.

The director of the CLM Center of Excellence in Pennsylvania, Cathy Scutta, stated, "The Competent Learner Model (CLM) enhances learners' social behaviour and skill development by offering significant opportunities for success.”

She also congratulated the Future Rehabilitation Center on its reaccreditation and commended the centre for its commitment to upholding the Competent Learner Model standards of service delivery.

Mohamed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim said that this achievement is the result of the efforts of the Future Rehabilitation Centre’s specialised staff.

The programme is comprehensive and benefits a large number of the centre’s students.

The programme is implemented by a specialised team of teachers, therapists, specialists, assistants, and registered staff from the Tucci Learning Solutions Institute in California, USA, and they have successfully delivered the service based on the program’s regulations and standards.

The Director of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, Mowfaq Mustafa, stated that, since its inception in 2007, the CLM programme has achieved significant success in promoting behavioural, intellectual, and cognitive development.

This approach integrates Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), precision teaching, and direct education to improve social communication skills and independence for students with special needs.

Established in 2000, the Future Rehabilitation Center has a long history of accomplishments in educating people of determination.

The centre provides a holistic educational experience to its 146 students with a professional team of 86 educators, including teachers, therapists, and administrators.

The student body represents diverse nationalities, with Emirati students making up about 40% of the total.
