ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

TRENDS Research and Advisory has signed a memorandum of understanding with Italy's University of Insubria (Università degli Studi dell'Insubria) as part of its vision to expand international academic and research cooperation.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and Giorgio Maria Zamperetti, Vice Rector for Internationalisation at the University of Insubria, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Angelo Tagliabue.

The partnership aims to enhance collaborative research by identifying shared areas of interest and undertaking innovative research that contribute to addressing global challenges.

It will also facilitate exchange of expertise and knowledge, joint workshops and conferences, development of joint training programmes, and publication of research findings in academic journals.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali said that the cooperation agreement with the University of Insubria demonstrates TRENDS' keenness on building and diversifying strategic partnerships with universities, academic institutions, and international research centres, with the aim of advancing scientific research.

Al-Ali added that the agreement provides opportunities for both sides to cooperate in scientific and strategic studies, conduct joint research in a number of knowledge fields, and collaborate in expert and researcher exchange.

This will allow both institutions to benefit from their expertise and organise research events.

The CEO of TRENDS said that the agreement paves the way for developing joint academic and research programmes, in addition to specialised training programmes in collaboration with the TRENDS International Training Institute.

Giorgio Maria Zamperetti, Vice Rector for Internationalisation at the University of Insubria, said that the agreement offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations among the academic and research communities worldwide, which will positively impact the development of Sustainable Development Goals and joint scientific solutions to global issues and crises.

Zampiretti welcomed the cooperation with TRENDS and praised its research efforts and the high quality of its global knowledge production.

He also emphasised the commitment of the university to communicating and strengthening partnerships with research institutions and centres in the Middle East.
