ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

At the conclusion of its research tour to Argentina, TRENDS Research & Advisory inaugurated a new office in Latin America’s second-largest country to expand its global reach and establish connections with research centres in that region.

This coincided with research dialogues with several leading Argentine think tanks, most notably the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI).

During the opening event, Dr. Paulo Botta, Director of the Middle East Committee at CARI, was awarded the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of his research and knowledge dissemination efforts.

The TRENDS office in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires and the research dialogues aimed to strengthen cooperation between TRENDS and Argentine institutions in academic research, strategies, and technology and explore ways to collaborate in training and research consultancy.

New Partnerships

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, stated that opening the office in Buenos Aires is an essential step in the centre’s journey to build global research partnerships. He expressed his hope that the new office, which will operate remotely, will serve as a platform for close communication with research and academic institutions in Argentina on areas of mutual interest. This will contribute to a better understanding of events, provide insights, and help shape the future through scientific approaches.

Research Dialogue

TRENDS researchers held a panel discussion with the Argentine Council for International Relations, focusing on the importance of academic research and exploring training, consultancy, and expertise exchange. They also discussed implementing joint research projects that would benefit both sides.

Cooperation Agreement

Subsequently, a research partnership agreement was signed with the Argentine Council for International Relations, outlining areas of cooperation and communication through TRENDS’ office in Buenos Aires. The agreement includes exchanging expertise, information, and research, conducting training courses, and implementing joint consultancy projects.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and Dr. Paulo Botta, Director of the Middle East Committee at CARI. Dr. Botta expressed his pleasure with the collaboration and the agreement, emphasising the vital role of research institutions in strengthening international relations. “We view TRENDS as an ideal global partner for cooperation in strategic studies and diplomacy,” he said.

TRENDS Research Medal

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Paulo Botta, Director of the Middle East Committee at CARI, was awarded the TRENDS Research Medal for his research contributions and support for the centre’s knowledge dissemination efforts.

The TRENDS Research Medal, announced during the centre’s bronze jubilee celebrations, is awarded to individuals who make significant contributions to advancing scientific research and fostering collaboration with TRENDS in promoting the culture of scientific research in various fields.
