H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), stressed the pioneering role of the UAE in supporting the Republic of Lebanon in all circumstances and times, based on the humanitarian legacy of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who cultivated the lofty values and fraternal ideals in the Emirati society.
His Highness explained that the UAE followed this approach throughout history, as it has consistently discharged its responsibilities in achieving stability in the region, in compliance with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This was done through relief campaigns, humanitarian aid, and various development projects, which is evident in the work of the Emirates Red Crescent.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed stressed the importance of dedicated and concerted efforts in supporting the people of Lebanon in the face of grave hardships.
His Highness also pointed to the instructions given to the ERC to double the relief efforts as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign in a way that reflects the essence and authenticity of the Emirati society, in full coordination with various Emirati donor agencies and business owners and under the aegis of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
