A comprehensive cooperation agreement has been signed between TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) at the University of Tokyo. The agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of the TRENDS Fourth Annual International Conference, held in Tokyo, Japan, constitutes a step that strengthens academic and research collaboration.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and Professor Masakazu Sugiyama, Director of RCAST. The agreement outlines the enhancement of cooperation in research and studies, exchange of expertise and information, training, and organisation of joint events.
According to the agreement, the areas of collaboration between the two centres include joint research projects in various fields of mutual interest, exchange of expertise and information between researchers and scientists from both centres, organisation of joint training programmes for researchers and students, and hosting joint conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali emphasised that this agreement constitutes a significant step in TRENDS’ journey towards building global research partnerships. He noted that cooperation with the University of Tokyo, one of the world’s most prestigious universities, will contribute to advancing research and studies in various fields, particularly in areas of priority for the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Al-Ali added, "We believe in the importance of international collaboration in scientific research and see this agreement as an opportunity to enhance knowledge exchange between Emirati and Japanese researchers and develop innovative solutions to global challenges".
Professor Masakazu Sugiyama expressed his happiness with the signing of this agreement ، He confirmed that the agreement will open new horizons for cooperation between the two centres and contribute to strengthening academic and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Sugiyama said, "We welcome this partnership with Trends and believe it will yield positive results that contribute to the advancement of human knowledge".
