Dr. Salem Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), participated in the 129th session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie in the French capital, Paris. The session was presided over by Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the OIF, and attended by representatives from the 88 member states and governments of the organisation.
The session discussed the latest plans and arrangements in relation to the upcoming 19th Francophonie Summit, which will be hosted by France in October. Additionally, the summit adopted several projects and recommendations that will be discussed in the upcoming 45th session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (CMF), which is scheduled to be held early next month.
Notably, the UAE is participating as a member state in all meetings of OIF held at the level of high officials, ministers, and summit. This demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to multilateral Francophonie action and reflects the country’s keenness to strengthen its distinguished ties with the Francophonie.
