TRENDS Research & Advisory is continuing its Asian tour from Tokyo to Jakarta. Having arrived in Japan after a successful research mission in South Korea, the final leg will be in Indonesia. This tour aims to expand TRENDS’ global reach and reinforce its role as an international knowledge bridge that anticipates events and provides insights to help shape the future.
TRENDS will hold its 4th International Annual Conference in Tokyo in collaboration with the Research Centre for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) at the University of Tokyo. Aletihad News Center will be a media partner. The “Sustainable Security in 2024 and Beyond: The Role of AI” conference will be held from September 18 to 19.
Nearly 34 experts and researchers from 10 countries will participate, discussing how AI can be leveraged to build a more secure and sustainable future. The discussion will focus on critical topics such as AI governance, energy security, and geopolitical implications.
With this significant event, TRENDS will inaugurate its 9th global office in Tokyo to enhance its academic and intellectual presence in Japan. Additionally, it will sign a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Institute of Technological Research at the University of Tokyo to promote collaborative research efforts.
Following Tokyo, TRENDS’ research delegation members will head to Jakarta, Indonesia, where they will participate in the Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF) as the first and only research canter from the Arab world.
TRENDS will showcase various publications covering various fields, including science, politics, security, and economics. The Centre will also organise two symposiums and panel discussions and aim to establish partnerships with around nine Indonesian research centres.
Through its global tours, TRENDS aims to reaffirm its leading role in shaping the future by investing in scientific research and knowledge exchange with top experts and researchers worldwide. The Centre strives to enhance dialogue between cultures and civilisations and build global knowledge bridges.
