The Abu Dhabi Police have rolled out their smart robots at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), providing visitors with essential traffic safety education through innovative technology.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club, the 21st edition of ADIHEX began on Saturday at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.

In an interview with Aletihad, Captain Ahmed Abdullah Almehiri highlighted the functions of each one of the robots present at ADIHEX.

One is commonly found in malls and police stations. It allows users to pay fines through the TAMM app, ask questions, and access traffic tips.

Another robot is used in schools for traffic awareness. It engages students in a way that makes their interaction with the Abu Dhabi Police less intimidating and ensures they are more receptive to traffic tips and safety guidelines.

Both robots have been operational for two years, according to Almehiri.

ADIHEX visitors can also meet “Saqr”, the newest recruit at the Abu Dhabi Police. This smart robot, designed specifically for traffic awareness, provides audio responses to questions.

Almehiri additionally introduced the Abu Dhabi Police video game on PS, which aims to raise traffic awareness through an engaging and innovative approach.

This initiative is part of Abu Dhabi Police’s ongoing efforts to promote road safety and protect drivers and road users from the dangers of traffic accidents, he noted.
