ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), in cooperation with Al Ain Investment Club, concluded the activities of the Friends of Police Summer Camp 2024 at Haza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain City.
The camp welcomed boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 15 years old to take part in their activities.
This initiative is part of the ADP's strategy to bring happiness to the community.
Director of the Department of Ceremonies and Public Relations, Colonel Saif Saeed Al-Shamsi, praised the cooperation and partnership between the two parties in organising the two-week camp activities.
He also commended families for encouraging children to utilise their free time productively.
He further emphasised ADP leadership's commitment to launching summer programmes and camps that contribute to developing leadership and behavioural skills in children, as well as instilling noble values.
The camp offered a variety of social and educational activities, recreational events that catered to the students' interests, mentoring lectures, and workshops on Emirati culture to enhance national identity.
Sessions included cooking, robotics, recycling, pottery painting, karate, jujitsu, heritage competitions, and folk games.
ADP's band performed national music and there were also special demonstrations by cavalry and police dogs presented by the K9 Security Inspection Department.
They also learned about the responsibilities of the "Child Patrol" and traffic rules to promote a culture of public safety.
