Raytheon Emirates, an RTX business, launched its 2024 internship programme, cementing its commitment to developing Emirati talent.

This year, the company welcomes six Emirati students who will gain practical experience and on-the-job training across various departments.

The internship programme, running throughout the summer, offers a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge from experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects in the defence and aerospace domain.

This year's internship welcomes students with a diverse range of academic backgrounds from Zayed University, Khalifa University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology. Interns will gain experience in various departments, including Project Management, Digital Technology, Human Resources, Contracts, and Supply Chain.

Fahad Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Raytheon Emirates, an RTX business, said, “At RTX, we believe in investing in the future of the UAE, and our internship program is a testament to that commitment. This year's programme offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in critical functions within our company, nurturing Emirati talent and providing them with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the aerospace and defence industry. We are confident this programme will equip the interns with valuable skills and inspire them to become future leaders in the UAE's rapidly growing industrial ecosystem.”

RTX’s Raytheon Emirates internship programme reflects the company's dedication to fostering a highly skilled local workforce and supporting the UAE's vision for a knowledge-based economy.

Notably, RTX has also been a supporter of Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Undergraduate Research and Innovation Competition for the last two years as part of its wider efforts to encourage STEM education and empower the next generation of innovators in the UAE. RTX will also sponsor the competition in 2025.
