Abu Dhabi Police participate in 'Khatwa' programme workshops

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) participated in workshops and lectures within the 'Khatwa' programme, implemented by the Department of Education and Knowledge.

The aim is to attract UAE students to study at American and Canadian community colleges and international universities.

Colonel Imran Ahmed Al-Mazroui, Director of the Human Resources department, said that ADP's participation reflects the their commitment to improving the competence of national cadres and motivating them to pursue higher education.

Furthermore, he praised the efforts of ADP teams involved in the workshops noting their significant contributions to equipping participants with necessary skills and encouraging them to learn about the cultures and customs of the countries they visit.

These types of initiatives contribute to promoting safety and security, fostering development, and building a better future.

He wished the participants continued success and excellence, urging them to apply the valuable experiences gained during their studies to their future work environments.

Director of the Missions Department in the Human Resources Sector, Salem Saif Al-Kaabi, stressed ADP's commitment to implementing purposeful programmes and workshops that support and encourage national talent, enabling them to achieve success in their studies and professional careers.

These efforts contribute to the country's construction and development and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from experienced individuals to their new colleagues.

The workshops within the 'Khatwa' programme covered several topics such as the importance of holding on to national identity, positive citizenship, noble values, and addressing challenges that students face.

He added that participants were reminded of the importance of representing their country in a manner that reflects its status and distinctive relations with different peoples.

They were encouraged to be the best ambassadors, reflecting the positive civil image of the UAE and its heritage.

They were also urged to excel, succeed, and apply their scientific and academic knowledge to enhance their skills and abilities in their professional lives.

Additionally, participants were also reminded of the importance of security awareness and positive participation in drug prevention initiatives,as well as understanding their dangers and risks.
