In a recent dialogue session, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, welcomed a delegation from TRENDS Research and Advisory, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS. The two sides discussed means of enhancing and empowering the role of youth through scientific research and driving future-oriented initiatives.
This collaboration aligns with the shared goals of the Federal Youth Authority and TRENDS to exchange expertise through establishing constructive partnerships with the aim of enhancing youth capabilities and empowering young individuals. The discussion also focused on cooperation prospects in areas of mutual interest to support human development and achieve sustainability goals.
Both parties underscored the importance of scientific research in youth empowerment and future-building efforts, as well as the need for mutual cooperation in scientific research and support for initiatives by both sides through partnerships that strengthen various aspects of national action.
Exchange of Expertise
His Excellency Al Neyadi expressed great admiration for TRENDS’ global efforts, particularly in youth empowerment, as well as its publications and research outputs. He praised the quality and diversity of these publications and commended TRENDS’ dedication to empowering youth, enhancing their abilities, and refining their skills to foster innovation and learning, enabling them to actively contribute to future-making.
His Excellency underlined that the Authority draws its approaches from the vision of the prudent leadership regarding the importance of establishing targeted partnerships to support and empower youth and offer them new opportunities to develop their knowledge. That is why, the Authority is keen to collaborate with TRENDS in various areas that contribute to honing youth skills, promoting global and specialised research, and enhancing the exchange of expertise.
Strategic Development
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali emphasised TRENDS’ commitment to strengthening the capabilities of young researchers in their capacity as future builders and leaders. He highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange and strategic and institutional development to foster innovation and support capacities in all areas.
TRENDS researchers briefed His Excellency Al Neyadi and attendees on the centre’s activities, highlighting its role as an independent, globally-oriented research institution that seeks to enhance partnerships for comprehensive knowledge and contribute to foreseeing the future.
They also showcased TRENDS’ research efforts and initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, including the TRENDS Youth Council and other youth-focused programmes.
