ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) called on citizens and residents to take the necessary preventive measures to secure their homes, properties, and assets while traveling this summer.

As part of the "Safe Summer" campaign, they urged the public to lock doors, windows, and entrances properly, and to install surveillance cameras to monitor any suspicious activity at home or the surrounding area.

The ADP also recommended keeping valuables, cash, and belongings in safe places such as banks or well-secured safes, and to make use of technology and security systems connected to alarms as well.

They stressed the importance of regular maintenance in homes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical and gas systems to prevent fires and electricity-related accidents.

The ADP advised citizens and residents to inform their neighbours if they are traveling to help protect their properties.

They also emphasised the importance of parking vehicles in designated areas, securing them, and following the necessary preventive measures before leaving their homes.
