The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has announced that the city's beaches are fully prepared to accommodate the expected surge of visitors during Eid Al Adha, taking comprehensive measures to ensure the readiness of beach facilities and public properties for the festive period.
The Municipality invited the public to enjoy the festivities, while adhering to safety guidelines displayed on instructional boards along the beaches, and maintaining beach facilities and public property.
The Municipality forecasts a significant turnout of families looking to enjoy the Eid atmosphere. In preparation, departments have performed routine maintenance, supervised the cleanliness of beach facilities, and reinforced security and safety measures. A dedicated emergency team is on standby to provide all the necessary comfort and safety needs of beachgoers.
Abu Dhabi's beaches offer numerous services, including water games and a central announcement system that informs visitors of operational hours, swimming schedules, and ongoing beach activities.
The Corniche Beach meets global standards and offers facilities such as children's play areas, beach libraries, marine sports, and rentals for beach chairs and umbrellas.
Special consideration is given to people of determination, with the municipality providing suitable entertainment options to ensure their enjoyment, including floating chairs at Corniche and Al Bateen beaches, accessible restrooms, complimentary beach entry, and thoughtfully designed areas for easy navigation.
A world-class state-of-the-art misting system has been installed along the Corniche Beach walkway, featuring high-quality materials that align with the highest global standards and specifications.
The strategic development of public and tourist facilities, including beaches, is a key focus for the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, attracting more tourists and beachgoers by ensuring that the beaches adhere to international standards in environmental education, water quality, environmental management, safety, and services. They provide protective equipment for visitors and are equipped with the highest specifications and global services that beachgoers look for, adhering to international security and safety standards.
The Municipality is continuously working to aligning beach services with the evolving needs of visitors, continuously introducing new services and facilities designed to entertain and delight, ensuring the provision of modern amenities that meet global standards, fostering sustainable development and enhancing community wellbeing.
Abu Dhabi's beaches have achieved local and international recognition, with seven beaches in the city receiving the prestigious international Blue Flag certification, underscoring the high standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and service quality that Abu Dhabi's beaches are known for.
