Three UAE universities — Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), University of Sharjah — have further strengthened their position in the 2024 edition of the Global 2000 list by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
At the country level, Khalifa University came first ahead of United Arab Emirates University, and the University of Sharjah.
According to the 2024 edition of the Global 2000 list by CWUR, Khalifa University moved up 16 spots to 876 from last year’s 892, United Arab Emirates University rose 65 spots to reach 1113 in comparison with last year’s 1178, and University of Sharjah climbed 146 spots to reach 1253.
The top 10 universities in the 2024 edition of the Global 2000 list were distributed among the US (eight universities) and the UK (two universities).
In this edition, 20,966 universities were assessed and ranked, and the universities which came at the top made it to the Global 2000 list, which included universities from 94 countries.
The CWUR ranking’s 2024 edition analysed 62 million outcome-based data points to rank universities from around the world.
