The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) and the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil (TCU) signed a letter of intent to enhance their future cooperation and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future.

This took place as part of the official visit of a delegation from UAEAA, led by the President of UAEAA, Humaid Obaid Abushibs, to Brazil.

The goal of the visit is to exchange expertise in supervision and accounting.

The trip's itinerary included bilateral ministerial meetings between Abushibs and Vinícius de Carvalho, Chief Minister of the Comptroller General of the Union of Brazil, as well as with Bruno Dantas, President of TCU.

Discussions covered several topics of mutual interest between both parties.

The two sides held operational meetings, on the sidelines of the visit, to exchange expertise and best practices and applications in the field of supervision to protect public resources.
