The marine trips connecting Dalma Island to Al Zanah Port, that were suspended as Al Dhafra Region witnessed sandstorms and varying rainfall in inclement weather conditions since Wednesday morning, are expected resume as clement weather returns.
The organising committee of the Dalma Historical Race Festival, which decided to suspend the festival’s activities, competitions, and popular market on Wednesday and Thursday due to the expected weather conditions, plans to resume the festival on Friday.
Al Dhafra Municipality had urged residents to exercise caution while driving on the roads due to some areas being affected by strong winds, along with rainfall, and had advised against marine travel. Residents were also encouraged to contact the hotline in case of any emergencies.
