The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) took part in the ninth edition of the Zayed's Ambition Marathon 2024 and the annual k9 police dog shows
ADP held a traffic awareness-raising activity for students and their parents at the event, which was organised by Madar International School at the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) in Al Ain City.
The slogan for this year's event reflects the principles and values of the Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reaffirming that every human being has value.
Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Central Operations Sector, Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, emphasised that ADP has been working diligently to increase traffic awareness among different segments of society.
Additionally, they have been participating in various events and initiatives in collaboration with partners to promote safe driving, as well as adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
Participants from the traffic department and security patrols in Al Ain city informed attendees about the aim of ADP's Child Patrol programme and urged them to adhere to traffic regulations.
Officers further stressed the importance of wearing seatbelts on school buses and safely crossing pedestrian lanes to and from schools.
Informative leaflets and gifts were distributed to attendees, before performances by police dogs from the K9 Security Inspection Department.
The Director of Madar International School, Dr. Alaa Hamid Al-Jabouri, commended the efforts of the ADP in promoting traffic awareness, their active engagement with students, and their dedication to instilling positive values.
