ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The UAE is facing an extension of a surface low pressure system from the Red Sea, accompanied with humid South-easterly winds from Wednesday evening to Thursday, according to the latest weather update issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

From Sunday to Wednesday Afternoon:
The forecast predicts the appearance of local convective rainy clouds formation with a probability of hail over Eastern areas, extending over some internal and Western areas.

From Wednesday evening to Thursday:
The country is expected to be affected by an extension of a surface low pressure from the Red Sea accompanied with humid Southeasterly winds, with an extension of a low pressure system from the Northwest and variable cloud formations, including convective clouds, which are associated with moderate to heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and a probability of hail. The system is forecast to move from the West of the country by Wednesday night and extend over most areas of the country on Thursday, centred over western, coastal and some Eastern areas.

On Friday and Saturday:
The cloud formations are forecast to decrease gradually with a chance of light to moderate rainfall, with potentially heavy rainfall over some Southern and Eastern areas.

Winds:
Winds are expected to be moderate to fresh Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, with strong winds at times, especially accompanying convective clouds. The winds have the potential to cause blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility.

Sea:
The seas are forecast to be moderate and rough at times, especially with cloud formations over the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
