ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has issued prevention and safety guidelines for the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
These guidelines urge community members to adhere to precautionary measures and contribute to further ensuring protection of lives and property in Abu Dhabi.
For vehicles, the authority advised conducting regular maintenance, adhering to precautionalry measures and general safety instructions, as well as ensuring the availability of fire extinguishers that meet safety standards.
As for homes, people were advised to ensure the provision of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire aid kits, and smoke detectors. Additionally the authority called on citizens and residents to close gas cylinders securely and store them away from direct sunlight. Furthermore, they were also asked to conduct routine maintenance to ensure the safety of gas pipes.
The guidlelines concluded with some general advice including yielding right of way to emergency response vehicles and avoiding gatherings at accident sites.
