Head of the Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council (FNC) at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles, Roger Mancienne.
Taking place on the sidelines of the 148th Assembly and 213th Governing Council Session of the IPU in Geneva, Switzerland, the meeting included discussions on the strategic friendship between the UAE and Seychelles.
The two also spoke about the importance of enhancing their cooperation, especially in the areas of investment, trade, tourism, development, climate change, renewable energy, and other vital areas of mutual interest, to bring prosperity and progress to both countries and their peoples.
The meeting also explored ways of enhancing their parliamentary cooperation and affirmed the significance of the coordination and parliamentary collaboration between the FNC and the National Assembly of Seychelles, through organising mutual visits, activating friendship committees for sharing parliamentary expertise and knowledge, and coordinating efforts across various parliamentary forums.
