Scattered rainfall is forecast for coming days with chances of dust storms and reduced visibility, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
On Monday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in general, and cloudy at times over scattered areas with rainfall at intervals. Light to moderate winds, becoming strong at times, are set to blow over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand, reducing the horizontal visibility, according to the NCM.
The sea will be moderate to rough, becoming very rough at times with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.
As for Tuesday, rainfall is forecast for scattered areas in Northern, Eastern, and internal Western regions accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures. It will be humid by night and Wednesday morning over some internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation, the weather department said.
Winds will be light to moderate, and fresh to strong at times, especially over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand reducing horizontal visibility. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea, according to the NCM forecast.
Turning to Wednesday, the weather will be fair to partly cloudy at times. It is forecast to be humid by night and Thursday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over internal areas. Light to moderate winds, and fresh at times, especially over the sea will prevail, causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility. The sea will be rough to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Thursday will be fair to partly cloudy at times. It will be humid at night and Friday morning with a chance of mist formation over internal areas. Light to moderate winds, and fresh occasionally, especially over the sea are forecast, causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea, according to the NCM forecast.
