The Emirates Foundation for School Education has circulated a guide for public school students outlining eight positive behaviours to adopt for exam success.

They include: Avoid tampering with exam papers, maintaining order within and outside exam halls, refrain from leaking exam questions and abstaining from cheating or behaviour that aids others in doing so.

It instructed students not to violate exam guidelines, avoid communication with other students during exams and refrain from using electronic devices or bringing in any material related to exams.

According to the guidelines, students who fail to achieve the passing grade in the retake exam for any of the Group A subjects will have to repeat the academic year.

On Tuesday, 12th grade students in the General, Advanced, Elite, and Applied streams in public and private schools took the Arabic language exam. They will sit for the Social Studies exam on Wednesday.

As for applied track students, they will conclude their second semester with Islamic education exam.

On Friday, 12th grade students from the General, Advanced, and Elite streams will sit for their chemistry and biology exams.

Meanwhile, students’ opinions varied regarding the 12th grade Arabic language exam.

Rashid Al Muqaddam, Ahmed Nasser, and Marwan Ali unanimously agreed that some questions were difficult, namely syntax diagramming, as they struggled to comprehend it even before the exam.

They pointed out  the need to simplify this subject as it includes complex grammatical structures.

As for Amna Saif and Mahra Ali, the exams were easy overall, although some questions required more effort and analytical skills.
