The Abu Dhabi Police General Command has introduced four innovative smart robots to its Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, aimed at enhancing digital traffic awareness and educational efforts. During the launch, Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Director of the Central Operations Sector, highlighted the initiative as part of the police's commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies.

This approach aligns with the leadership's vision for leveraging advanced intelligence technologies for a sustainable future, he said, emphasising the role of artificial intelligence in improving police and security operations, shortening response times, and yielding positive outcomes for community wellbeing. The robots and other forms of advance technology will be used to enhance traffic awareness and education through displaying digital traffic videos.

Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, described the robots as community-friendly tools for traffic education and awareness. These robots will participate in various police initiatives and events, engaging the public to follow traffic laws, cautioning against unsafe behaviours, and responding to inquiries to promote traffic safety.

Major Ahmed Abdullah Al Muhairi, who leads the Smart Traffic Robots Project, reported successful public interactions and positive responses to the technology in tests. These interactions have proven effective in raising awareness about road safety, the consequences of traffic violations, and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to prevent violations.
