In cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence Ajman, the Department of Economic Development – Ajman (Ajman DED) conducted a simulated evacuation exercise at its headquarters in Al Hamidiyah.
The evacuation exercise comes as part of the department's efforts to raise awareness of security and safety procedures by enhancing occupational health and safety, adopting a series of initiatives and preventive exercises to proactively deal with emergencies, crises, and disasters, and coordinating and cooperating with relevant security authorities.
The evacuation exercise aimed to ensure the readiness and preparedness of employees and visitors at the site, as well as the crisis and emergency team, to face risks, protect lives and properties, and enhance response speed and coordination. The exercise evaluation rate reached 99%.
Ninety-three employees and visitors were directed to assembly points outside the building by the evacuation team, which executed the exercise in record time – 60 seconds – ensuring that the evacuation process was carried out correctly.
