The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) is implementing projects aimed at carrying out maintenance and operation of all pedestrian bridges and tunnels in Abu Dhabi.

The ADM is implementing 20 side stops for buses and taxis and carrying out works to illuminate multiple areas in the city, designing and implementing parking lots and landscaping works for various mosques within the city. It is also implementing road works and infrastructure services required for the waterfront project on Abu Dhabi Island.

The municipality recently issued five tenders to implement the five projects, as part of its keenness to provide world-class infrastructure to road users in Abu Dhabi, and to provide facilities with international safety and security standards.

The municipality said that it is moving forward with the implementation of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, as an embodiment of the comprehensive development plan for Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, and within the framework of the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s keenness and strategy aimed at developing the infrastructure system in all cities, and providing services capable of keeping pace with the continuous development witnessed by the city and the rising population growth.

Among the projects completed by the municipality during the past year were the maintenance of the road leading to Abu Dhabi Airport, the inauguration of the upper intersection of Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road, raising the efficiency of traffic safety standards for school zones, raising the efficiency of the roads surrounding the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Site, improving the intersection of the Corniche and Airport streets, and implementing parking lots and roads around the Technical College in Baniyas.
