ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Armed with unlimited support from the UAE’s visionary leadership, Emirati women have achieved remarkable successes in a broad spectrum of sectors. From boardrooms to space science, they have excelled in all fields of national work and have contributed effectively to all development plans.

This flourishing reality experienced by Emirati women is the fruit of a progressive empowerment strategy adopted by the state to build the capacities of Emirati women, removing obstacles to their participation in all fields, making them active and pioneering contributors in the nation's progress.

Unlimited Support from Visionary Leadership

Empowering women and providing all opportunities for success and excellence for the nation's women top the priorities of the nation’s visionary leadership.

Emirati women receive unlimited support from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).

This support enables them to unleash their creativity in education, work, and various fields of national development, achieving unprecedented accomplishments admired by the world.

Al Matrooshi Receives Space Badge

A noteworthy achievement in this regard is Emirati women’s participation in the nation’s space programme, making a significant leap in  women’s empowerment in the region.

This remarkable step followed advanced training that began in January 2022.
