The Emirates Foundation’s Dawamee Programme provided more than 300 job opportunities for UAE nationals in 2023, the Foundation revealed. These job posts were promoted on their online platform throughout last year, resulting in a total of 278 applicants getting jobs in the local job market, including both remote and part-time employment contracts.
Abu Dhabi Media Office shared the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) which read: “The EFYouth’s Dawamee programme, launched to provide remote and part-time job opportunities for UAE Nationals, had more than 300 jobs posted on its platform in 2023, with 278 applicants hired, advancing UAE Emiratisation targets.”
Notably, Dawamee is a national programme that aims to create new and flexible employment opportunities for Emiratis through organisational partnerships.
Leveraging an advanced online portal, the initiative offers UAE nationals seeking employment a wide range of flexible part-time and remote jobs in numerous sectors that cater to the local market’s demand.The digital platf
orm targets UAE nationals over 18 years of age, prioritising those who face employment challenges, including “People of Determination, low-income individuals, and those living at remote locations,” according to the platform’s official website.
As for participating organisations, the programme offers them cost-effective solutions with access to flexible and qualified workers.
Jamal Al Khater, Manager of DAWAMEE Programme, previously explained the significance of the initiative, stating: “This programme is so important for raising awareness about flexible employment, whether part-time or remote job opportunities – especially for UAE Nationals who may have felt their options were limited – we are delighted to see the progress thus far.”
The remarkable achievement showcases the UAE’s successful commitment to partnerships and innovative methods of reaching the country’s Emiratisation targets.
