In its second edition, NYU Abu Dhabi's Annual Falcon Ride witnessed the participation of more than 300 riders on Al Hudayriat Island's cycling track.
Cyclists of all skill levels were invited to join the free community ride, receiving a complimentary Annual Falcon Ride cycling jersey, sunglasses, and participation medals. Against the backdrop of Abu Dhabi's skyline at dusk, participants completed the 10km cycle loop, with the option to undertake additional laps.
Given the increasing popularity of cycling in the UAE for both transportation and exercise, this annual event aligns with the national objective of promoting an active and sustainable lifestyle.
The UAE has actively launched initiatives to further develop cycling, exemplified by projects like Abu Dhabi 360 and Bike Abu Dhabi. These initiatives aim to advance the emirate's long-term cycling goals, fostering connections among crucial elements such as mobility, health, leisure, and sport.
