The Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, under the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), has initiated a comprehensive three-month awareness campaign titled "Violence... the End of Family Stability” to address the issue of domestic violence.
The primary objective of the campaign is to enhance public awareness regarding preventive measures against domestic violence, highlight its detrimental consequences, emphasise family rights and responsibilities, and outline the penalties for offenders.
ADJD Undersecretary, Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, emphasised the crucial role played by ADJD in protecting society through preventive measures and raising legal and community awareness. This aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD.
Utilising modern technology, ADJD aims to disseminate targeted awareness messages across various social media platforms to achieve strategic national objectives. The campaign seeks to prevent criminal activities and wrongdoings, ensuring the preservation of family and societal rights.
The Director of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, Counselor Dr. Muhammad Rashid Al Dhanhani, emphasised the campaign's focus on preserving family values. He explained that a strong family structure is essential for societal and educational development, fostering self-confidence, respect, and appreciation among its members.
Al-Dhanhani further highlighted the programme's goal of educating community members about family dialogue and its benefits, along with the importance of fostering a culture of respect among family members. The initiative underscores ADJD's commitment to promoting proper behaviour, upholding rights, and contributing to the well-being of the community.
