The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), has launched an engaging children’s book titled “Sustainability Superhero Book”. In collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Education and Knowledge, the book allows all the children present at COP28 to learn about sustainability.
This activity, during COP28 activities, seeks to raise children's awareness about best practices that support sustainability goals and contribute to behavioural change through engaging activities and intelligence questions that test children’s understanding of the e-book’s content. The book also includes activities, that include colouring, sorting waste, growing plants, and raising awareness about rationalising water consumption and preserving natural resources.
Notably, during COP28, DoH and ADPHC, are showcasing their sustainable healthcare projects, to highlight the impact of climate change on three critical pillars that are essential to ensuring the sustainability of healthcare services, which are: the impact of climate change on individuals, the community, and the healthcare system.
Young visitors can partake in this engaging experience at DoH and ADPHC’s booth, number 59 is located in the Green Zone, within the Technology & Innovation Hub.
