Scheduled from February 3-7, 2024, this globally acclaimed event is set to exceed the remarkable success and international participation of the past four editions, which attracted rapid intervention units and tactical teams from every corner of the world.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs, emphasised the early planning in preparation for hosting this major event. "The UAE SWAT Challenge has become a significant gathering for special units and tactical teams worldwide. We continue our commitment to the meticulous and early planning needed to ensure its success," he said.

The UAE SWAT Challenge seeks to boost competitiveness and guarantee operational proficiency among the different disciplines of security bodies, including SWAT units, to increase their readiness against challenges and risks.

Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Acting Deputy Director of the General Department of Organisations Security and Protective Emergency for Organisations Security Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee, emphasised the significant advancements the Challenge has made due to the support and guidance of Lt. Gen. Al Marri.

He affirmed, “His involvement in planning the fifth edition of the challenge has elevated it to international standards, facilitating the exchange of expertise among participating tactical teams and exposing them to the latest global practices.”

Al Ketbi explained that Challenge features five rigorous events: The Tactical Event, The Assault Event, The Officer Rescue, The Tower Event, and The Obstacle Course.

With distinct requirements, these events promise to test the participants on various tactical and strategic facets.

Al Ketbi expressed the Committee’s enthusiasm to welcome the participating teams to the fifth edition, looking forward to their participation in a competitive atmosphere that encourages experience sharing and tactical skill acquisition.
