Ihab Al-Rifai (Al Dhafra Region) - Support for 3 student projects in the field of innovation and artificial intelligence Ihab Al-Rifai (Al Dhafra Region)Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, inaugurated the second health forum for Al Dhafra Hospitals on Tuesday morning under the auspices of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region.
The forum will continue for three consecutive days at the Baynunah educational complex in Zayed City under the slogan “Al Dhafra: A healthy community”. The opening was attended by Brigadier General Hamdan Saif Al Mansouri, Director of the Al Dhafra Police Directorate, Mohammed Ali Al Mansoori, General Manager of Al Dhafra Region Municipality, Brigadier General Khalfan Bati Al Qubaisi, Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Al Dhafra Region, Rashed Saif Al Qubaisi, Head of Corporate Affairs of the Purehealth Group, and Hamad Khamis Thiban Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Administration of Al Dhafra Hospitals. Jaber Ali Al Marar, Executive Director of the Support Services Department in Al Dhafra Hospitals and the Chairman of the organising committee of the second health forum, explained that the forum witnessed a large turnout from members of the health professions and the community in Al Dhafra.
More than 55 government and non-government entities are participating in the exhibition to present the latest innovative developments and products in the health profession, he added. Over 25 speakers led practical workshops and medical lectures, and more than 18 activities were held at the forum’s interactive stage.
The forum, which aims to showcase Al Dhafra Hospitals’ and the SEHA Company’s achievements and plans for the next fifty years, spread health awareness and education, and keep up to date with the innovations in medical practice and the latest artificial intelligence applications.
Further, the forum aims to enhance cooperation educational institutions and strategic partners and support students. According to Al Marar, the forum includes three main activities. The first targeted medical and technical professionals and includes a scientific conference and various workshops with more than 25 speakers.
The second activity included an exhibition where participating entities can showcase the latest medical devices, equipment, educational programmes, and health care services to the public, which witnessed a great turnout from the public. The third activity involves an innovative platform for companies and institutions can display educational and awareness programmes. Also under the third activity, the most important innovative projects were shown to a large audience.
Dr. Hamda Salem Al Neyadi, Acting Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at SEHA, said that three different student projects were displayed and given financial support with the aim of encouraging students’ innovation. The selected student projects include a deaf translation project and smart hand project from the Emirates Foundation for School Education in Al Dhafra region, in addition to the smart sorting room project from the Higher Colleges of Technology students.
Engineer Bati Rashid Al Muhairbi, director of facilities at Al Dhafra Hospitals, explained that this year’s forum is distinguished from the first forum, both in terms of the number of attendees, the scope of participation, and the events held for the public. This reflects the great success of the first forum and its positive impact on the people of Al Dhafra region and those interested in the health sector in the region, he added. Al Muhairbi noted that the current forum focused on innovation and sustainability projects.
