The weather in UAE will continue to be wet and windy on Saturday after rains lashed parts of the country this week.
According to the National Center of Meteorology, the weather forecast for the country today is partly cloudy at times with a chance of convective cloud formation, associated with rainfall over some coastal, northern, and eastern areas.
It will get humid by night and Sunday morning over coastal and internal areas, with a probability of mist formation.
According to the NCM, temperatures are expected to hit a high of 37°C and a low of 15°C.
In Abu Dhabi, temperatures can reach a maximum of 33°C and a minimum of 24°C, according to the Met department.
Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times that will cause blowing dust.
The sea will be slight to moderate, expected to get rough with cloud activity at times in the Arabian Gulf and slightly in the Oman Sea.
Sunday forecast
The weather forecast for Sunday will be similar with partly cloudy conditions at times with a chance of some convective cloud formation, associated with rainfall over some coastal, northern, and eastern areas.
Temperatures will tend to increase gradually as it gets humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal and internal areas.
Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times causing blowing dust, reaching up to speeds of 40kmph. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
Earlier, authorities cautioned motorists to drive carefully during rainy weather and follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
Ministries had also issued remote work directives on October 27 for federal government and private sector employees, with the exception of jobs that require presence at the workplace. It was also decided that all government schools and some private schools will adopt distance learning, taking into account the weather condition prevailing in the country.
