ABU DHABI (Aletihad)

Unstable weather conditions are in the forecast for Thursday, with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over scattered areas, accompanied with some cumuliform cloud formation, which is associated with various intensities of rainfall and thunder, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

Temperatures are expected to decrease with moderate winds, which have the potential to cause airborne dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility, according to the centre’s weather bulletin.

Sea conditions are forecast to be moderate, and choppy at times with cloud formations over the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Forecasts for Friday expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in certain areas of the country with a chance of some cumuliform cloud formation to the east and south, and extending into some central and western areas, indicating potential rainfall. Friday night and Saturday morning,  humid conditions are expected in coastal and central area of the UAE, accompanied by moderate south-westerly and north-westerly winds. Wind conditions are expected to have a speed of between 15 km/hr and 30 km/hr, with the potential to reach up to 45 km/hr, and have the potential to cause airborne dust. Sea conditions are forecast to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and fair in the Sea of Oman.

On Saturday, fair to partly cloudy conditions are forecast. Clouds will appear in the east, with the possibility of cumuliform formations by afternoon.

Saturday night and into Sunday morning, humid conditions with a probability of mist formation are forecast in coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate north-westerly to south--easterly winds are projected with a speed of 15 km/hr to 25 km/hr, reaching up to 35 km/hr. Sea conditions are forecast to be fair in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday’s forecast projects partly cloudy conditions, with clouds appearing in the eastern and northern regions of the country by the afternoon. Humid conditions are forecast for Sunday night into Monday morning in coastal and central areas, with light to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly winds at speeds between 10 km/hr to 20 km/hr, reaching up to 30 km/hr. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are forecast to be fair.
