The Ministry of Education has declared that the Emirates Standardized Test (EMSAT) in the English language is a primary requirement for enrollment in the ministry’s scholarship programme for international education.

EMSAT tests in other disciplines depend on the intended area of study, along with the scholarship’s other requirements. The ministry specifically emphasised the importance of providing TOEFL or IELTS scores, which are required for universities outside of the UAE and for obtaining student visas.

There are five categories of student eligible to apply for the scholarship programme to study abroad, which include graduates of secondary school for the current academic year, secondary school graduates from within the previous two academic years, master’s degree holders who are pursuing an additional masters or doctoral programme, students already enroled in undergraduate or graduate programmes wishing to join scholarship programme, and exchange programme students.

The Ministry of Education announced the opening of registration for the scholarship programme on its various social media platforms. The programme is open to various academic disciplines at various international educational institutions.

Applications for the programme can be submitted through November 6, the ministry announced, urging students to complete their application processes in a timely manner.

The Ministry of Education’s overseas scholarship programme includes all tuition fees, a travel allowance at the beginning of the scholarship, an annual travel ticket allowance, annual allowances like book and school supply stipends, health insurance, a monthly stipend, allowances for spouses and children on the condition of their permanent residence in the host country, and graduation allowances.
