SEOUL (ALETIHAD) - An Emirati delegation participating in the “Strategic Dialogue between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea: Prospects of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries”, conference, which was held in the South Korean capital, Seoul, visited The Korea Times newspaper.
The delegation, which included elite media leaders, researchers, and thinkers, met with President and Publisher of The Korea Times Young-jin Oh, who showcased the workings of the newspaper, which is Korea’s oldest daily newspaper in English.
The newspaper was first issued in 1950, and it is Korea’s first English-language daily.
Hamad Al Kaabi, Editor-in-Chief of Aletihad Newspaper and Director of Aletihad News Centre, discussed ways to increase collaboration between Aletihad News Centre and The Korea Times, including cooperation in content sharing and strengthening relations between Korea and the UAE by highlighting mutual interests.
The delegates, which included Dr. Mohammad Al Ali, CEO and Founder of the TRENDS Research & Advisory Centre, took a tour of the newspaper and listened to a briefing on its operations.
The two-day conference was organised by the UAE Embassy in Seoul, in partnership with the TRENDS Research and Advisory Centre as the conference’s knowledge partner, and the Aletihad News Centre as the conference’s media partner.
The conference was inaugurated with a keynote address by His Excellency Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of South Korea.
