Morocco defeated Jordan 3-2 after thrilling extra time to win the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 final in Doha's Lusail Stadium on Thursday evening, securing its second title with a dramatic late turnaround.
Oussama Tannane gave Morocco an early lead in the fourth minute with a stunning left-footed strike from more than 35 yards, finishing a fast break to put the Atlas Lions ahead.
Jordan equalised after the halftime break when Ali Olwan headed in from close range from a corner kick in the 48th minute. Olwan then completed his brace in the 68th minute, calmly converting a penalty to give Jordan a 2-1 advantage and shift the momentum in the final.
Morocco pushed forward searching for an equaliser and found it late, as AbdelRazak Hamdallah struck in the 87th minute to force extra time. Then, Atlas Lions completed the comeback in the 100th minute when Hamdallah scored again from close range following a set-piece situation, sealing the win and the title for Morocco.
