The UAE Warriors returns to action on Saturday at ADNEC Al Ain for its 65th edition, featuring an electrifying card of 14 international fighters.
The main event will be the showdown for the women’s strawweight title as Brazil’s Lany Silva goes up against compatriot Michele Oliveira.
According to Fouad Darwish, CEO of UAE Warriors, this will be the first female main event. “They deserve it,” he said during a press conference on Thursday.
Both Oliveira and Silva promised the audience a “great show and performance” on Saturday.
In the co-main event, two lightweights battle in a catch‐weight 75kg bout. Former UAE Warriors lightweight Champion Bruno Machado takes on Brentin Mumford with the winner likely next in line for a shot at the lightweight title.
“We are thrilled to do this again in less than a month, after UAE Warriors 64 was one of the best fight cards globally,” Darwish said.
Taking place in Al Ain, the CEO noted that the Emirate is “becoming a hub for events”.
And Darwish said martial arts fans can look forward two more fight cards in December, after the upcoming UAE Warriors in Beirut.
“We will be going to Liwa to fight in the desert towards the end of the year. We are also working on having our first fight card in the United States soon, in Las Vegas,” Darwish announced.
