Team Abu Dhabi achieved a strong result in the main race of Round 3 of the F1H2O World Championship, as Swedish driver Erik Stark, at the helm of Abu Dhabi 6, secured fourth place after starting from ninth position and gaining five places throughout the race.
Stark’s impressive performance came as a result of a well-executed team strategy and the boat’s stability on the challenging course, earning valuable points that raised his total to 39 points, placing him sixth overall in the world championship standings.
His teammate, Mansoor Al Mansoori, driver of Abu Dhabi 5, finished 16th after a competitive race against some of the world’s top drivers.
Thani Al Qemzi, Team Abu Dhabi Manager at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, praised the team’s effort, affirming that the championship title is still within reach: "We still have two rounds remaining, and our chances to compete for the world title remain alive. Erik’s performance today was outstanding — moving from ninth to fourth shows the team’s determination and fighting spirit."
Al Qemzi added that the team will continue its focused preparations for the upcoming rounds with the goal of returning to the podium and proudly raising the UAE flag high at the end of the world championship season.
