The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club (ADMSC) is organising the 22-foot Al Hudayriyat Dhow Race next Friday, as part of the club’s annual heritage race programme.
Registration is now open on the club’s official website, and more than 50 dhows are expected to participate. The dhows will set off from the starting point, covering a distance of five nautical miles, toward the finish line in front of the ADMSC headquarters on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The organisers have promised preparations according to the highest technical, logistical and organisational standards to ensure safety for and compliance from all stakeholders.
The club continues to implement its heritage and traditional racing programme, which includes races in the 22-, 43-, and 60-foot dhow categories of which the Hudayriyat race is an important event on the calendar, a category in which young and junior sailors participate.
