The Sharjah team made a powerful statement at the start of the F1H2O World Championship after seizing the title in the opening round, staged on Indonesia’s Lake Toba.

The team reaffirmed its global presence and rewrote the script to retain their title.

Roozti Wyit dominated the main race, clinching first place in his boat No.17 with absolute authority and repeating last year’s triumph, cemented his status as one of the top names in the championship.

The Victory Team from Dubai confirmed the UAE's dominance when boat No.3, piloted by Alec Weckström, finished second, while his teammate from Britain, Ben Jelf, took third place in his boat No.9.

Sharjah’s second entry, Boat and Wyit’s colleague Stefan Arand, added further sparkle to the team’s brilliance by finishing fourth, showcasing the depth of the UAE's superiority in the opening round.

As for Team Abu Dhabi, Mansoor Al Mansoori came in 12th while his teammate Erik Stark was forced to retire early after a collision in the opening lap with French driver Peter Morin.

With this double success, Wyit now leads the overall standings on 29 points, after combining victory in the main race with a runner-up finish in Sunday’s Sprint Race. The result firmly established Sharjah at the top and set the tempo for the season.
