Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC) is set to host the 32nd edition of the UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses on Sunday, December 15, 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of the ADEC), said that the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses will see strong competition tomorrow between elite horses and riders from inside and outside the country for a total prize purse of Dh10.8 million in seven rounds.

He told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the current edition is exceptional in the final leg of the UAE President’s Cup World Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, extending his thanks and appreciation to the Supreme Organising Committee for choosing the Abu Dhabi Turf Club to host the event, and stressing the track's readiness to receive the elite horses, riders and trainers from all over the world. This year's edition will witness a significant increase in the prize pool by Dh5.2 million, bringing the total prize value to Dh10.8 million.

The event will feature seven races, including the prestigious UAE President Cup, Purebred Arabians Grand Prix (Group 1), with a prize pool of Dh8 million—setting the stage for fierce competition between the world's elite purebred Arabian horses, racing over 2,200 metres.

The President Cup for Thoroughbreds additionally offers a grand prize of Dh1 million.

In 1994, the UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses was launched by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to highlight the importance of purebred Arabian horses and their unique qualities in the world of racing.

Today, the UAE President Cup is recognised as the pinnacle of purebred Arabian racing globally, drawing the most qualified racehorse owners, trainers, and jockeys from around the world.
