The Organising Committee of the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) has finalised preparations for the eighth edition of the event, to be held for the first time in the historic city of Al Ain.
Building on the success of previous editions in Abu Dhabi, Paris, Balneário Camboriú, and Rio de Janeiro, the championship underscores the region's commitment to excellence in combat sports.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Al Ain, where fighters faced off before an eager audience.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including Tareq Al Bahri, General Manager of International Vision Sports Management (IVSM); Saeed Al Dhaheri, Director of the Al Ain and Al Dhafra Regional Development Department at DCT Abu Dhabi; as well as renowned athletes such as Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu, Haisam Rida, Amir Albazi, and Jafel Filho.
Al Bahri said, "Today, with immense pride, we announce the completion of preparations for the eighth edition of the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship, which will take place in Al Ain City, reaffirming Abu Dhabi's position as the world's largest promoter of jiu-jitsu and martial arts.
"We remain committed to hosting major championships, drawing inspiration from the excellence and creativity of our wise leadership and the UAE's vision, which harmonises a rich heritage with innovation. We thank the Al Ain and Al Dhafra Regional Development Department at DCT Abu Dhabi for their exceptional efforts and support of the championship and its athletes. Their contributions have significantly enhanced the growth and prominence of these sports."
Saeed Al Dhaheri said, "ADXC 8 enhances the emirate's status as a global hub for sporting events and demonstrates the unifying power of sports. Beyond the competition, we invite everyone to explore Al Ain's culture, hospitality, and landmarks. Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu, competing for the third time, said, "I deeply admire the UAE and its impressive development.
