Ahmed Mohammed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Presidential Court, has crowned the winners of professional jiu-jitsu athletes in the Masters (Purple and Brown belts) at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.

The event is part of the 16th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The ceremony was attended by Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF), along with other sports officials.

Al Humairi praised the prestigious international standing of the championship, which has attracted more than 9,000 athletes from 137 countries across various categories and age groups. He emphasised the alignment of the tournament's success with the UAE leadership's vision to promote sports and foster a healthy, active society.

He highlighted the UAE's commitment to investing in youth, enhancing their skills, and preparing them for global competitions. Special focus is placed on developing the jiu-jitsu sport by integrating it into summer camps, sports clubs, and both public and private schools, recognising its role in building physical and mental capabilities.

Following the conclusion of the championship rounds, Al Humairi toured the Mubadala Arena, where he reviewed the preparations undertaken by the organising committee and explored the exhibition held alongside the championship.
