The 2024 edition of the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup came to a thrilling conclusion at Zayed Sports City, with 24 teams emerging as winners in the region's premier tournament following a record-breaking competition in the UAE.
In its fifth edition, the Abu Dhabi Cup featured over 2,200 players with 166 teams from 12 countries flying into Abu Dhabi from around the world to take part in the 2024 youth football tournament.
In a historic year, 1,656 goals were scored across the 573 matches as players and fans enjoyed an international festival of football at Zayed Sports City, celebrating the beautiful game and the continued growth of the sport in the region and beyond.
Simon Hewitt, Head of Football Operations MENA, City Football Group said: "The 2024 edition of the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup has been a spectacular tournament from start to finish, as we celebrate a record-breaking year with more teams and players joining us from around the world than ever before.
"It's been a delight to watch the incredible teamwork on display and we are incredibly proud to see so many young players making friends from around the world.
"We thank all our partners for their support to bring this tournament together, and we congratulate all 166 teams and the winners for making this year's Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup our biggest edition so far."
As part of the tournament, Go Pro U10s from the UAE were selected as the winning team to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the City Football Academy in Manchester, where they will join training sessions with coaches on the same pitches as the stars of Manchester City.
