Cricket's fastest format, over 10 overs, is returning to the UAE capital with the schedule of Abu Dhabi T10 announced on Monday.
Defending champions Deccan Gladiators will open the tournament on November 28 against New York Strikers, the runners-up from the last season. The seventh edition will run through December 9 for 12 days of intense action.
Gladiators have high hopes of retaining their title while the Strikers, who made their debut in the last edition, will look to go all the way across this time in their second appearance.
Apart from the two, Northern Warriors, Morrisville Samp Army, Delhi Bulls, Team Abu Dhabi, Bangla Tigers and Chennai Braves will compete for the glittering trophy.
All the teams will get three days off during the league. The top four teams from the round-robin stage will qualify for the play-offs.
On December 8, the top two teams will play the first Qualifier 1, while the teams finishing in the 3rd and 4th position, will play in an Eliminator match. The winner will play the loser of Qualifier 1 in a match designated Qualifier 2. The final will be played the next day (Saturday).
Commenting on the season prospects, Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of the organising body T10 Sports Management, said: "I am sure the season is going to be massive. All the eight teams have bolstered squads, and it can be anyone's game at this point.
“With some of the best players from all around the world set to showcase their skills, it promises to be an action-packed thriller with plenty of entertainment and surprises for all fans of the game. I wish the teams well for the season and look forward to some fantastic cricket."
